Hello everyone.  I'm new to the site and have been going back and forth on putting a new finish on my model 40 357 supermag.  I paid $250 for it a couple years ago and the blueing has some blemishes, scratches, etc.  I really like the satin nickel type finish and was wondering if anyone can recommend a similar finish that I can put on myself at home.  I'll send it off if I have to but with shipping cost on pistols I'd rather do it myself if it doesn't take a ton of specialty tools/machines.  I've seen one in hard chrome and think I like that as well.  I know Brownell's has some lacquer kote finishes that you apply then bake in an oven (don't worry, I won't be using the one I cook with).  Has anyone had any experience with these or can recommend something similar?

Rick
