I took my 715VH to the range today. Following the pistol, shotgun, and rifle qualifications, I shot my Dan for the 1st time in 20 years! I even shot the equally old .38+P+ and .357mag rounds that I had left over. I have forgotten how smooth the trigger was (double action). This was echoed by two of our firearms instructors who have never shot a Dan before.
On a side note, not sure if the flash hider made any difference or not as it was sunny today. None the less, it had a cool factor.
A couple of things I noticed was that the rounds pulled to the left, but a simple adjustment fixed that. The second thing was that some of the empty casings got partially stuck in the cylinder chambers. Any thoughts on that?

Easy way to do that is chuck the brush into a cordless drill, get it sloppy with bore cleaner, and go to town!
HA! I have even been known to use a SS "tornado" in the cylinder (but not in my barrels). This works well as the tornado is bigger and fills all the way out to the cylinder walls, while my brushes are worn and dont make contact good.
Lastly, I generally actually just remove the whole crane and cylinder before doing any of the above. I dont want to chance hitting the frame with a spinning brush! Another trick is to put a little 0000 steel wool on the old brush to fill it out and really polish the cylinder.
yeah I spend way too much time with the Dans.
