Took my new to me 15-2 out for the first time this morning. Love the pistol but have two concerns. First, after adjusting the rear sight as low as it will go, it is still shooting about 4in high at 25 yards. Was shooting PMC 158gr jsp as it was all i was able to find at the time. I sketched on the target where my sights were in relation to the target. So my question is, am I sighting incorrectly, maybe just that particular ammo, or sights out of whack?
Second concern is the catch on the crane falls out. It appears that the screw to hold it in place has sheared off. I included a couple pics in case I am not explaining correctly. If that is the case, where in the world do i find a replacement?
Love the pistol, but obviously have to get a couple things fixed. Thanks in advance for your input.

My thought is that the two concerns are both tightly related... further, until you replace the screw, that gun is not safe to fire like that.
The screw is like most all the "screws" in a DW, it is headless and uses a tiny hex/allen wrench to adjust. An example would be like the one found for the sight retention.
Send us a pic of the entire gun, as I cant visulize what you have. One thought is that you have the wrong barrel shroud or wrong sight blade installed.
Soap Box, Ballot Box, Ammo Box
in that order.

I have had to replace a few latch retaing screws before as well. If the screw was just backed out and lost, order one from Priscilla at CZ Dan Wesson. If it is sheard off, it is a bit more complicated in that you'll need to get the old one out and salvage the threads, maybe a gun smith job? I have one DW that shoots just like your experiencing, I have not addressed it yet but plan to install a taller patridge front blade to cure it once time allows.

That missing screw is almost certainly not hex head, every one i've seen is actually a very small slotted head screw requiring a jewelers/eyeglass screwdriver. I have a 14-2 where the missing screw was replaced with a roll pin.
There are different height front (colored insert) sight heights out there, I have bought different heights at various times, both on a gun and loose on auction.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Judging from the 3rd pic & how far the screw seems to be protruding from the crane, it seems as though it's merely unscrewed itself...probably from being fiddled with then fired (rattled in it's housing). I would order a new screw from SZ/DW, screw it in with a dab of blue Loctite & be done with it.
Question #1 could possibly be remedied by using lighter bullets, say in the 125gr range? Otherwise, let's see some pics of your sights.
