[Image Can Not Be Found]Hello all, Am new here and just picked up a new to me Dan Wesson .357 ss pistol pack, and curious about the date of mfg. sn 007xxx. I'm not sure of the case originality, came with five barrels, two grips, the booklet, and patch. There is no tool, feeler gauge or extra sights with it. Also curious of the estimated value.

Well I feel like a dummy, found a label on my case, so it must be the original. I took the foam out and nothing under it, so ordered an after mkt. wrench and gauge, found some sights on line. I'm kind of disappointed after cleaning the 12" barrel last night, the forcing cone area and first 3 to 4" of barrel was layered with lead. After cleaning it, looks like some erosion there, also tried a bullet in the muzzle and it slides in up to the case mouth, although the bore looks fine. All the other four barrels look almost unfired.
I tried to post pics, but not at all familiar with this site, also don't know how to get pm's. but will figure it out. Does anyone know where to find a replacement 12" bbl?
Thanks for the welcomes and all replies, I'll probably be around here for a while.
Find a rare 12" Barrel assembly and throw away the shroud to get a 12" Barrel. Lol. I know of others looking too. EWK used to sell barrels in any length. I don't know if he will again. 10" are more common. I don't think the factory has any but it is worth trying. I wish I could be of more help., maybe other members can be of assistance.

Can anyone please tell me what model this is, manufacture date, grip type, etc.?
That is a model 15-2 with a 4" Vented Rib barrel assembly and I believe an "Undercover" grip.
Thanks Stinger. Much appreciated! One more thing... can anyone here also tell me an estimated YEAR of manufacture? The serial number is: 274065
Thank you.
