I just found a blue .357 with an 8", 6" and 4" heavy vented barrels, the action is great but has a couple very small spots of surface rust on two barrels, bores are good. It does have a wrench and an extra grip. Don't know what model it is yet, price is 575.00, is that a decent price?

Is it in a case?
You are describing the bulk of a Dan Wesson Pistol pack probably a 15-2 (blued) or 715 ( stainless).
It depends on what your looking for. If you just want a shooter then, then yes that is a very good price. If your looking for a pristine example then you will have to at least double that.
I have bought guns with some surface inperfections, and have had them re-blued. It is a time consuming and costly adventure ( though it seems I overpaid by nearly double). So I am hesitant to go down that road again, unless it is a VERY good deal, or I can live with that gun having those issues. In this case, unless the gun is just in terrible shape, thats a great price on ones first DW.
Good luck!

Mark got my 15 last week, said he would get right on it, also said the finish
would be high polish like the original, I'm sending him some after pictures to use,
His pictures he's posting on the web site are a very black bluing but don't show
the high polish mirror look that Dans have.

Well I just got my first DW, was a not exactly as I remembered the barrels were not heavy just vented, but that's ok, just always wanted the heavy vented barrel. As you can see there was more than I thought it has 4 barrels, 3 grips and most of the accessories. Unfortunately both wrenches are damaged. The best news is it's unfired, but it does have a very light cylinder score, 2 or 3 very small rust spots about 1/64 in size on one barrel shroud.

The original plastic barrel tools were prone to break ... even DW does not make them like that anymore. To get a good tool and spare nuts and fiber optics talk to EWK ..... right over yonder>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I say you did very well!!!

Everybody bad-mouths the plastic tools. In 25 years I've never broken one. If you want authenticity for your Monson (except the very early ones) or Palmer gun, then you pretty much need the plastic one for your Pistol Pack.
That said; two months ago I bought a large-frame set and a small-frame set from Eric, both of which have taken up residence in my range bag. These are really top quality tools. That reminds me I have to order another plug from him because I now have a .45LC.
