I have a DW model 14-2, with the plain blade front sight.

My old eyes don't pick it up so good- and I am wondering if the 15-2 sight blades are inter-changeable.. this one does NOT have a screw in front of the shroud- it has a pin that runs thru the blade -

What sight options are available to me- and where would it be available ?

THanks in advance..

I believe you could knock the pin out and remove the front sight then drill a hole in a 15-2 sight and install it.  You would probably need to file down the front sight though and I'm not sure who that would do with the colored insert.

Another option would be to put a little hi-viz paint on your current sight.

Wonder if I can swap the shroud (only) for a 15-2 with the 14-2 ?

That way- I could swap out blades..but i guess the blueing wouldn't match- since the 14-2 has a satin finish..

I e mailed CZ, they replied (quickly !!) that there is a fiber optic front site available that will fit my 14-2.. for 25 bucks, I may try that.

Scotty, The shrouds do swap but normally the point of aim is off as well as the finish.  Just buy a 15-2 to go along with your 14-2 and mix and match as you please. poke Any way DW sells sights as well as we have a member here ( Gemmniman2) hope I spelled that right) who make sights. Also if you are handy with a hacksaw and a file there isn't much to making one your self. If middle GA is close ( enough) to me we could even do a test drive swap and shoot. I am about 30 miles west of Augusta.

well..not to beat a thread to death.. but ...I ordered the fiber optic site-it came in- but on my 14-2..it has a pin thru the site blade- the new fiber optic site has no hole-- i was able to drill it out and put it in..but of COURSE i got an idiot mark on the barrell shroud...darn it ! it is much "taller" than the site that was in,..,I'm curious to see how this impacts point of aim
