I can also say that some of those submissions to the S/N registry may be incomplete, some people may have thought that the "357" was a Model descriptor, and not part of the serial number.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Yes, I'm resurrecting an old thread. I have a new found interest in 357B prefix 15-2's. I've assembled a micro-database below. Are there any more 357B owners out there?

Just found this one posted on GunBroker:
"An as-new condition Dan Wesson model 15-2 .357 Magnum revolver. 357B001000 range serial number, which appears to be near the end of the production from DW's Monson, MA shop, making it around 1992 or so."
(Not my photo, not my gun!)
This, 357B001003, is the oldest of the 357B serial numbers I've seen. Mine still seems to be the highest (newest?) at 357B0065xx. Do I hold the title for the last of the Monson 15-2s? Somebody knock me off my throne.

Hello all. Speaking about medallions...anyone know how i can turn one a little bit on my Pachmyr "grippers" with the DW emblems in the rubber. One of them is about 30 degrees from where it should be.
Thanks,,,, Hugelk
On the wood grips, there is usually a small hole on the inside just behind the medallion. Looking at my Pachmayr, I can't tell if there's a hole (I'm getting more blind every day), but if not & since it's rubber, you may be able to push it hard enough with a small pick or screwdriver, to flex the rubber far enough to push the medallion out.
