I was reading another forum and found this artcle by Grant Cunningham. Check it out, its an interesting read.
Jody,
"If only"
I think it's a great editorial and that Grant makes a great point not only for Dan Wesson but for the USA in general. If only CZ would actually do something like this. Freedom Arms has proven there is a market for "high end" revolvers and I believe that's what DW needs to become just that.
Wouldn't I be great if everything made in this country was again thought to be the best of the best!
Just some musings

I totally agree. For some reason I've always preferred to buy American made guns although I do have a couple that aren't.
It would have been nice if an American company had purchased Dan Wesson but if CZ would allow them to start producing a larger line of revolvers I could make an exception.
As Grant stated in his article if they are not going to produce revolvers then sell that unit to somoene who will. I'll be playing the lottery tonight so maybe it will be me.
I've been trying to get my DW to Grant for a while and have read his forums, but I missed that one. He's correct about the company. I first fired a DW in 1971 and fell in love with them, but all I've owned are the Monson ones. I've shot a few Palmers and one 445 of the Norwich make. The 445 was a stainless IHSMA model and tight and sleek. All the ones I've shot were the most accurate out of the box guns. I've shot Colts, Rugers and S&W's; some had better triggers, better finishes, cleaner lines, but none were as accurate without a fix of some sort. The first one I fired was my brother's and he had just bought it brand new and we took it out to a clay pit with some cans and, without so much as a sight adjust; proceeded to make cans bounce. The first 357mag we had ever fired and it was laser straight. I too hope DW/CZ stay in the revolver business and read Grant's article.
