Ok, more grip schmatta. I only have three grip types (I finally picked up a pachmayr gripper). So I did a tracing of the three different grips just for kicks, as I do carry my 2.5" model 14. The grip is one of three primary elements of a revolver that "sets" the carry-ability of a revolver for myself, that being the width of the cylinder, then the grip (length and shape near the butt), and finally barrel length. The pic shows the three grip types I have in a relative comparison, not actual size (I traced around the frame/grip using pens of similar diameter, so because of the pen's thickness the lines are actually a pen radius wider along each trace). Not exact science but gives a relative trend in size. I was surprised that the pachmayr gripper is actually the longer of the three, I would guess that a Hogue gripper might be a little longer than this even. And I would guess that the smallest of available grips would be the small wood birdshead shaped grip (that is considered the conceal carry grip), and the common wood target grip (classic grip) would be along the lines of the pachmayr presentation grip. Guesses though, if someone wants to send me these two grips (or even an LB or two?) I can add them for comparison, but no guarantee when they would get returned
