Bought both screw lengths and couldn't get either one to work with hogue grips. Had an idea and took a dremel to the screw heads to narrow them down. It worked! Thanks for the help!

If you would like to replace the "dremeled" screw with an almost identical aftermarket replacement, give Ace Hardware or any local hardware store that has a specialty hardware section. I had a similar situation occur and I was able to find the right screws at my local Ace Harware store.

Just a tidbit of info for all. Screws to fit DW grips are readily available from many sources. Even Allen head 8/32 1 1/2 screws can be found most places. Ace, Fastenall, Granger, McMaster Carr, and more. The catchis the DW original screw uses a 5/32 Allen wrench where all commonly available (at least what I can find) Allen screws of this size use a 9/64 wrench. They will work fine but your original barrel tool will not fit the grip screw. Not a big problem but I thought you guys would like to know. If I ever find a source (reasonable priced) I plan to order several hundred.
