I will display my lack of  knowledge about my new Dan Wesson. I believe it to be an early production 357 mag model 15 from Monson with adjustable rear sights a 6 inch vented rib barrel. Don't know if it is heavy lugged or not (not sure what that means). But while it has a few blemishes on the barrel (looks  like improper storage), what I really want is another set of grips. So when I am  searching for wood grips for this gun, is this viewed as a large frame or a small frame DW (I am thinking small in the DW world, but a heck of a lot bigger than m J-frame Smiths).

First Dan Wesson Revolver - Model 15-2;

Walthers and  CZs my favorites;

Gotta few Rugers, Smiths, RIAs as well

Would this grip work for my model?

Yes, that is what you are looking for; Small Frame, Square Tang ... and there are lots of factory styles to choose from, not to mention Hogue or Pachmyer.

I am looking for simplicity, no finger groove and as close to a  factory look as possible. Like my 1911s, I like the diamond pattern with US on them or similar. Simple kind of man (: I think that was a lyric from an old Lynard Skynard song.

Found some - didn't realize they were in France - used factory grips for the handgun at a reasonable price from what I can tell - $60. They are not perfect, which means they will match up with my 15-2 fine.

Received the grips. Like the look. Starting to look for a smaller grip as well.

well cool. Probably after shooting the rubber grips and then the wood grips will like the rubber better, but I just don't like the look.

Dan Wesson grips are like lady's shoes. There are grips for all occasions. Put on the rubber at the range. Service style when you carry with a 4". Wear Undercover grips when the 21/2" barrel is on. To go to church put on the Zebra Wood grips. Buy some beat up target grips and carve your own finger groove grips or get a Sacramento grip / combat grip. Pachmyer makes a rubber model called The Gripper. My nickname is Imelda Marcos. I have almost as many grips as she had shoes.

   Remember, don't over tighten the grip screw or it interferes with the hammer. There are 2 sizes of screws. The short screw is for the Undercover grip.
