I just noticed something when I looked at my new(er) 715 side-by-side with my other one

New addition

Image Enlarger

Very noticeable gap visible at the "hook" of the hammer, versus

I have a 722 that looks just like #1, three different 15-2's look just like #2. The position of the transfer bar looks identical, and the hammer looks the same on both. I haven't fried #1 yet, but I see no reason to think it won't be OK.

Anyone else have these differences?

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

None of my 15's look like that.  However my 715 and my 22 have a SMALL visible gap.

All mine are like #2.

That's very interesting. Is there more meat on the front of the hammer on #1 where it contacts the transfer bar?

Both hammers look identical. The new one has the gap, I've not shot it yet, but the firing pin pops pretty hard on a dry fire, it should be fine

Since I'm doing the SHOOT Tune-up, I'm going to get some baseline groups at 25 ft. I also got a digital trigger pull gauge today, I'm going to get DA/SA trigger pull before/after too.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Where did you get your trigger pull gauge? I'd like to get one sometime...would be a handy tool.

None of my model 15's have a gap, 2 blue and one stainless steel?  Be interesting to see how yours with the gap shoots.
