I recently purchased a Dan Wesson 744 with 8" VH barrel. I'm now trying to find a 6", which if anyone has tried, they are few and far between. I found a really rough 6" VH blued barrel that has had most of the bluing worn off and was wondering if I could have the shroud refinished to Hard Chrome or even Brushed Hard Chrome to match relatively closely my Stainless gun? Has anyone tried this or have pictures of hard chrome next to stainless?
Let me hear your thoughts.

Take a look at EWKarms(link on left sidebar). He will make any size stainless shroud you need for that 44. His quality is every bit as good as factory and they look exactly the same as factory shrouds. I have several in 44mag and they all shoot wonderfully. His prices are much better than ebay and gunbroker too.
I don't think a chrome or nickel finish will match very well with the stainless, JMHO. If it were me, I'd go with Eric at EWK.

If a man designed it, and a man built it, then a man can fix it.
