Hello Everyone,
My father has owned a Dan Wesson 357 Magnum since the mid 80s, and he's loved owning it. However 5-7 years ago the frame had cracked in multiple places, it is really beyond any repair, so we were looking to find some spare parts to see if we could rebuild it. After searching ebay, gun broker, and many other sites I was unable to find anyone selling a frame. I know this is most likely a long shot but we'd love to get the gun fixed and firing again as it really is a great pistol.
Does anyone have any leads as to where I could find a frame being sold for one of these? Again is a DW 357 Magnum, 715. If you're interested I can post some photos of it/the damage later tonight.

Unfortunatley the frame IS the gun because it has the serial number. You won't find that on ebay but sometimes you can find some one selling the frame with no barrel assemblies they split from a pistol pac on GunBroker. Essentialy you would be buying a firearm so a FFL transfer is necessary. With patience you might find one or just go a head and buy a whole pistol with a different barrel length and use your old one on the new pistol. Good luck.

Welcome. I read 715. Is it in fact stainless or is it a blued gun, a model 15-2. I have built several guns out of bare frames and happen to have a very nice bare frame perhaps unused, that I have neglected to build out. I have had a hard time fitting a side plate and after ruining one I was loath to chance another. Sideplates are rather precious these days. If you can use a blued frame you can have it for small change.
It is very difficult to harm a DW frame. Your father must have really put it to use.

Welcome to the Forum, yes please try to post any pictures, it is hard to believe "cracks" all over ????hmmmm not sure of the alloy of their stainless but the blued guns is 4140 chrome moly...tough stuff
I have one 715 left but it is a Palmer gun and the barrel is "fixed", so that won;t help you..............
