I recently found this forum, and did some searching to find out if this barrel and shroud that came with my DW is rare or not.
The DW is, I believe, a Model 15-2 8V. It has the stepped profile shroud, with a vent rib and 8" barrel.
The other barrel is a 12" with a heavy shroud, replaceable front sight and a non- vent rib.
Would that be a Model 15-2 12H?
The serial number is 139XXX, would that barrel have been correct in that era?
Thanks for any help or information that you can provide

First welcome to the
What you have is a model 15-2 probably manufactured around 1978. Both of the barrel assemblies would have been available when your gun was purchased. The H12 would have been a special order I'm sure. A 15" was also available by special order as well. The 12" and 15" assemblies are rare and bring a premium on auction sites such as Gun Broker.
Hope you enjoy the site!

Hi guys, thanks for the help.
here are few pics or the pistol and the extra barrel.
I shot silouettte with the 12" barrel for little bit, but switched to my T/C .30 Herret.
I put the original barrel back on and I still have the factory grip, but mostly preferred the Pachy' for general shooting.

My guess is that overall, the H configuration is the least common, a 12 H is pretty amazing. Once we say it's a one of a kind, however, someone will come up with a 15 or 20 H
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
