hello friends there is two problem which i am facing with my dan weson .22 lr small frame revolver first when i fire it powder leak that is too much that my finger start bleeding i have check with the gap in the barrel and revolving chamber with feeler gauge it is .008 will i make it.006 and the second is when i change the grip to small wooden grip and tighten the base bolt fully the hammer jam and fuction gets hard is their any seetting in the revolver grip bolt section. waiting for views of expert and friends regards shariq .

Shoot and Dave have you covered with the mechanical part. I set my gaps tighter, in the .002 to .003 range. If you go that tight check the gap for the entire cylinder and remember you may have to wipe off the carbon build up from the cylinder face while shooting.
Oh hand position, I was taught to curl the fingers so they can't be harmed by bleed-off from the barrel to cylinder gap.

With an autoloader it is very common to align the forefinger of the weak hand extended along the frame, pointing to the target. With a revolver, this can be a recipe for disaster. I've seen photos of an unintended partial finger amputation accomplished by an S&W .500.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
