Tony - welcome to the forum and congratulations on your first DW purchase!  The serial # appears to be a mod 715-2 which would be a small frame.  The small frame guns have the square grip tang and would accept grips with a square hole,  while large frames have the round tang and accept grips with a round hole.  I believe the exception is hogue wood grips which are all square hole.

Harly has that exactly right.  However, let me suggest that you look in the right hand column for the link to LB Custom Grips. He does absolutely superlative work.  I have quite a number of his grips on my Dan's and I can't say enough about the quality and artistry of LB's grips.  Give the gallery on his site a gander.
BTW, welcome to the DWF.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
