I just picked up a Monson MA 15-2 357 Mag. Pistol Pack with 4 Vented rib barrels with standard underlug. It is an older model I think, serial # is 371996. It also came with an extra 8" Vented Heavy shroud barrel with full underlug that was marked 38 special on the shroud instead of 357 Magnum. What's the deal with this? Can it safely shoot 357? is it from another model, it looks just like the other barrels and fits perfectly. Any help would be appreciated.
Also the pistol pack has gray foam with cutouts for the barrels/pistol etc. Was this normal for some years, online I seem to see a yellow cloth inside the case.

Welcome to the DWF. How bout stopping by the new members section and introduce yourself.
I believe your Dan is an 1986 birthday. DW also produced 38s and yes the barrel is interchangeable and all small frame shrouds of the correct length will work. Sans the pork-chop models of course. Some early pacs had grey foam but not this era, so either this is someone's home project or maybe its just missing the gold cloth.
