Since my 14-2 did not sell, I decided to just keep it and put a set of rubber hogue grips on it. The grips arrived today but the set screw is not long enough to reach through the grips to connect with the hole in the bottom of the gun's grip. Where do I find the proper screw for this grip? What is the length I need? Can I use something in it's place? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Is the set screw that is too short the one that came with the grip? If so contact Hogue, or use the set screw from the original grip. You can use a screw from the hardware store, as long as the threads match, but you probably won't find one with the same allen head. I've lost the set screw for my Contender and brought one from another to the store to match up, been using it for 3 years now with no problem, except it has a phillips head.

There are two screw lengths, one for the OEM standard and one for the slim grip. CZ has both available, however for a hogue there is no telling. If it were mine I would simply go to the local hardware store and grab a few sizes of I believe 10/32 pan heads and some small washers until I found a winner. But that is just me. Either way be sure it's not too long as it will interfere with the hammer spring. Also check that thread size as I was shooting from memory.

This may or may not apply, but I have the same Hogue grip. The grip screw for the full size target grip worked with my Hogue grip, if you have a different (smaller) grip that might be the problem, there is a shorter grip screw for the smaller grips. Good advice from lbruce, and watch that length overall so you dont interfere with the hammer spring.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Ok, we bore out part of the inside to accomadate the smaller screw after we could not find one to fit. Gotta love a Father in Law with a drill press! Only he got a little "happy" with it and we had to shave the screw down a piece. Overall, it's on and solid!
Now........where do I find a holster for this monkey? Will a K or L Frame holster work for it?
