You are the proud owner of an “early” DW 15-2 which has a different cylinder/crane arrangement than the later guns. Trigger Shims has the proper shims; all you have to do is to get the cylinder collar out.
Lance at triggershims said mine cannot use shims. I sent him pictures.

The photo above is actually on his website; (he borrowed it from an old post of mine on our forum). He used to have both varieties of shims for the DW revolvers. I’ll double check his website soon to see if it’s still that way. But, the cylinder collar can be very hard to get out.

OK, I see where the collar maybe stuck. Suggestions on getting it out?

Just checked his website. He still has the shims for the early guns; it’s right below the later guns photo. First, you’ll need to get that cylinder collar out. Give it a good overnight soaking in your favorite penetrating oil, then proceed with caution. Some will never come out, but the majority will eventually move. Good luck!!

I will work on getting it out. I already have the shims. Thanks for the advice...

Try supporting the collar on the inside with the shank of the closest fitting drill bit you have, then use padded grips on the outside of the collar to try to turn it loose. I had one that would not budge, and eventually used vise-grips to crush it in multiple directions and then turned it out. Numrich has replacement collars, but they are long and need to be whittled down to a proper fit. Best part is, if you calculate correctly you won’t have to use shims at all. I’ve done this on both of my DW’s with great results.

Well I took a better look at where the bushing would be. I can look thru the center hole of the cylinder and do not see where there is a bushing there. It is smooth all the way thru. My eyes are not the best so I may be wrong. I did email Dan Wesson/CZ and it sounds like they can fix it up for me. I hope this just don't get to expensive, but I want it to work correctly. Thanks for the replies and help.

Well CZ/Dan Wesson sent me an email today. They took a look at what was causing the light primer strikes. Someone before I purchased it had shortened the hammer spring. Main cause for my issue. They indicated a couple minor issues and will correct everything and get it shipped back to me. Very good service thus far.
