I have an small frame 357mag pork chop manufactured in the monson factory.Recently the retaining pin that passes through the frame and retains the bolt (part 37) in place fell out and is lost. From my illustration of revolver & parts I cannot tell what part no or name I need to order.
Can someone please give me correct name or part no I need.
Also who could sell me this part & ship it to Australia.
You can try contacting Dan Wesson directly. Here is a link to their contact info however I'm not sure if the parts are exactly the same on the older pork chop shroud models. Worth giving them a call to check.

That's a tough one, that pin isn't identified in the parts-list or Diagram.
Dan Wesson is probably your best best, as Jody said.

Hi Dusty
Have been down that track unfortunatley dw wont ship parts to Australia.Priscilla did say the part was called the firing pin retaining pin but I think this is incorrect as the pin passes through the bolt (part37). If anyone can confirm part I need it would be great.
Thanks Dean

Dean,
From your description I agree that it's not the firing pin retaining pin. That is a tiny split pin - you want the solid, round head, press fit pin that (as you said) goes through the frame and provides a pivot point for the bolt.
There are two pins that go through the frame - one is the trigger pivot and the other is the bolt pivot. You can see the the heads of both clearly in the Pork Chop picture Jody has as the header for the forum. Am I talking about the correct part?
If so, getting one is going to be a real problem with Norwich not manufacturing revolvers anymore.
By the way, I believe the bolt pin is a smaller diameter than the trigger pin, so they most probably aren't interchangeable.
The only solutions I can suggest are looking for a junker or take yours to a gunsmith and have one fabricated.
Perhaps someone else on the forum has one or has a better suggestion.
