OK--more useless knowledge from my head... .... In the early years of DW production, you could get 38 special as a special order on a standard 357 model.
I'm sure there are a few of us watching that chop as we know the seller (he has quite a nice collection).
You still need to find chop barrels for it, but it doesn't matter if they are marked 38 or 357.

Just to jump in here, the H shroud seems to be the rarest of the breed, small or large frame. My guess is that there MAY have been 6H shrouds (because we know with DW's almost anything is possible), I've never seen one, and you may have a long search to find one.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

...and can the bbl be changed using the non-pork chop bbl. ?
Here is a thread I put together regarding that question...

The one you're watching on GB sure looks like a beauty. There's two things a potential buyer should know about that.
1) The grips aren't original, they are from an 80's-to-present era. (no big deal)
2) That model 11 has a high gloss finish. Every other one I've seen has had a matte finish & the brochures of the period don't even mention it as an option. I have a hunch that someone special ordered the .38 spl cambering & also requested a gloss finish.
I wish I was in the running on this one, because I'd be all over it.

I have a few bids on that on too. I was just looking for a cheap porkchop, it is not on my must have list. I will not be going any higher.
