Well posted Hman!  They enlarge nicely too so you can get a really good look at the pack.  Awesome pistol pack.  You got enough grips there if you only had three more frames you'd never have to change a barrelLaugh!  Once you're down the DW road there is no turning back.

Thanks for the nice comments, this has been a great pistol and shoots lights out. I purchased the set in 1979 and I have had it put away for years. I happened upon this sight after seeing it another pistol forum and it rekindled my interest in this particular gun. I had no idea there was a dedicated Dan Wesson base out there. I fell in love with this set when I first layed eyes on it. Oddly enough I purchased this gun from a hardware store that had a small gun shop in the back of it in Universal City ,Texas. I couldn't afford it so I put it on lay away and paid it out over a year. For clarification it's a model 15 with heavy vent barrel and was manufactured in Monson , Mass with a serial # of 2344xx.

I would like to thank Dusty Trail for his help on posting the pictures, I just followed his directions and it worked perfect.

Great pics, thanks for posting!Laugh That looks like a beauty of a set, too.

That story reminds me of a small town hardware store that I used to frequent as a kid, with my dad. They had a small gun shop attached to it, too. I wanted a lever action rifle in the worst way...never did get one, though.

Awesome pac you got there. One of my long term goals is to own a complete pac, whether origional (preferred) or built, but folks are willing to pay more for barrels than I am. It will happen one day.   Lay-away, hmmmm, I never thought of that.

By the way Charger, whats stopping you now, they still make lever guns you know. I realize It wont be a DW of course but they do come in DW calibers, ie 357, or 44. Why not fill that boyhood dream.

Wisdom is merely the realization of how little one knows, therefore I am wise.

Charger - lBruce has a point.

I know we're all DW here, but just a little something to spark that memory:

High school grad. present from my father in .32 Winchester Special.

--->but like lBruce said, you could get a new one in .44 mag!!

Very nice picture...sure wish I had a pistol pac.

FAI...which is similar to For Your Info. this means For Anyone's Info

You can use large pictures for your gun posts here. The software on this forum (I'm guessing) automatically resizes it so it doesn't take up the entire screen here. You've all seen what happens if you left click the picture...it enlarges so you get a better view.

If you RIGHT-click on the photo, select Open In New Tab, you will get the large size picture, like on this forum. However, if a much larger photo has been used, you can click on the one in the new tab (there will be a magnification icon over the pic), and the full size of the original picture is now viewable...great for all the details, or adding the pics to your screen-saver. Does this make sense to everyone?

hman...yours came out just this way...thanks for the nice pic!

Testing 1,2,3…a motherlode of this has been raining down at my house.  Thought I would test ISMHA80×80's instructions.  –>they work like a charm!  Thanks to Charger also who had given me some "tutelage"...

Success with a larger pic.Laugh

That's some mean looking hail!Surprised I was on a motorcycle a few years back & got caught in some pea-sized hail…I thought I was dead meat for a minute. I'd hate even more to be caught in quarter size hail!!

IHSMA, I haven't even thought of trying to open some of these pics in a new window, thanks for the tip. 😀

Man, that lever gun just looks fun. As I grew older, my focus tuned more toward pistols, so that's half the reason I didn't end up with one. However, the thought of one to play with sure sounds fun. I may have to start checking some out...if I can put my DWAS on pause for five minutes. 😛 LOL!

I recall riding a motorcylce in the rain when I was an irrational youth - seems to me that felt like machine gun fire.  That hail could be fatal...

It seems like levers are in all of a sudden - I keep looking at a Chuck Connors version down at the range...I'm not sure the DWAS can be put on hold!
