Ok silly question on the 10 & 10a speedloader from HKS. In a nutshell what the heck is the difference?
I have some I bought years ago I think they were 10a's, but the lock knob says "10", now I've been offered a few "#10", but not the "A" version. The website says they both fit a "357 Dan Wesson" so what is the actual differrence between the 10 & the 10a?

Just took a quick look in one of my catalogs and what it says is the "A" version holds the cartridges tight enough to keep them from wiggling and has the twist knob. For what that's worth. Apparently no other difference.

Or you could really step up and get some Safariland speedloaders for it. No twist, just press down into the cylinder and they snap release in place. I've known about them for years but only recently finally acquired some for my DW, very cool! They hold pretty tight too.
Safariland model for DW 357 is J-K2C Comp II.

Well the speedloaders arrived, one is a #10, & the other a 10-A. Both have the twist knob, both work with my DW so what the heck is the difference? I can't find anything even with one of each in my hand!
HKS makes both "A" series, twist knob, no wiggle & "M" series twist knob with wiggle, intentional, if I read the web page correctly. However there is no "choice between" the two styles as they are only available for different calibers, there is no "10-M' version. Supposedly there is a benifit in some calibers where a little wigle actually helps in some unexplained way.
Just to really confuse things they don't actually list a plain "10" either, even when they show one clearly on the web page? The 10 is actually marked "10" & the 10a marked "10A" so it's not even a stamping thing

Thats my thought as well, most of the "wiggly "M" variant" is for .22RF so that would make sense. So what is the darn difference between the 10 & the 10A? Theres the wiggly M & the non wiggly 10A whats a 10? Semi wiggly?
