If its the rubber you just gotta really put some pressure on it for the threads to catch . And once you get the thread started ONLY TURN IT ABOUT 10 TURNS .... I found out the hard way if you over tighten it you crush the little plastic floor plate and the hammer wont lock back because the screw is in too far .. not to mention now since I over tightened it since I had to back the screw out so it wouldn't obstruct the hammer and the plastic plate is crushed I now have about 1/8 - 1/4 inch play in the grips -__-
