Pretty much any type of holster will have some wear effect on a guns finish (especially a blue one).
The least effect would be Kydex.
Problem with nylon is that most nylon holsters are "one size fits all" (which really means "doesn't fit any gun quite right") so there's more movement which will add to the wear. Plus they tend to be flimsy and don't support the gun as well.
Leather and Kydex are usually fitted to the particular model of gun and as such the gun doesn't move as much (also molded holsters give some level of retention).
Thing is, any gun you're going to carry regularly is just not going to stay in "safe queen" condition, no matter what you do. Just wear the holster wear as a badge of honor … shows the gun is actually a useful tool. If you're really worried about it, make sure you pack a stainless steel gun (and if possible polish it).
