I have a Model 715 6VH, I am looking for a holster to wear outside the waistband and would prefer leather. Any ideas?

Check out http://www.simplyrugged.com . They make nice holsters and might have what you are looking for.

Not sure what style you are looking for but I've had good luck w/ El Paso Saddlery at http://www.epsaddlery.com .  Last order they claimed to have lost their mould for DW so couldn't supply the holster.  I just ordered one for a Python and it fits my 15-2 like a glove.

Python of the correct barrel length is always a perfect fit for a 15-2/715

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I carry my 15-2 VH 4 in a Bianchi  shoulder rig, fits great.  Same one they say to use for a Python.

Does the Python holster fit the VH barrels??

Yes, the Python is a very similar configuration to the VH (and H) DW's

I am always looking for the perfect rig for something small.

I am leaning towards a "sling" type over the shoulder holster like the ones for WWII 45's.

Or something along the lines of velcro attached holster cross draw midway up the ribcage.

Nobody really makes that or I ain't seen it yet.

Maxwell are you referring to the tanker style holster?

Yes! I was googling holsters on the web and came across that style. Then the movie Patton was on cable and while watching it there was a scene where a big meeting was occurring and there was an officer wearing one.

Sorry to hear that about your arm glockanator, glad to hear it sounds like you've recovered!

Was this holster for an EH? If not, would you consider making holsters for the EH's? I've had several people ask about holsters for them!
