Looks like you guys all ready found out, just read the 2009 price list post, but I am going to leave this anyway, had to vent...

I was shocked today when I talked with my wife on the phone. I had asked her to order some front sights and a HV4 blued assembly from CZDW. She asked me what I thought the barrel cost was. I said maybe $155 to $175, I couldn't remember, I did just get a 2″ last December for around $120. She said nope, it now is $257!!!!!! She said that they had just raised their prices, they had been informed  that they had been selling barrels underpriced. WHO TOLD THEM THAT? Anyway it is what it is. Time to scour the gunbrokers b4 they get the word. Maybe they already have it though, I haven't looked yet.

Hey Palo,

The day that the 2009 prices went into effect was not a good day for Dan Wesson Revolver fans!  It looks like the barrels and shrouds are pretty much the only thing that went up.

I just purchased VH4, VH6 and VH8 assemblies for a 744 and paid around $600 with the new prices it would be mid $900s!

Someone stated maybe they are getting tired of making these... and the more I think about it maybe they were correct.

I'm assuming that CZ-USA forced them to raise the prices but that is just a guess.

Yep, I guess it's just inevitable...prices go up & rarely go down, it seems. On the bright side, at least they haven't discontinued  making barrels & shrouds.Surprised I would expect that one day they will, and that will be a sad day indeed.

I am glad that I got the 414 kit together at the last moment.  I sure wish I had gone to the extent of ordering the 445 barrels at the same time.  Wow what a difference on 44 barrels, wonder what the impact is on SM barrels.

Yes, that price increase is a killer!  Frown I still need 11 barrels to complete my kits. At the old price the total was $1733. At the new price the total is $2821. That's a difference of $1088, or $98.91 per barrel.  And then, if I ever do find a 7414, I'll need extra barrels for that too!

For that price increase, the least they could do is apply roll marks (if requested) instead of those sissy laser marks.

You have to admit that they are catering to a relatively small market...production runs must be done in batches... I'm glad they are still making many of these things for you folks who require them.

If you're going to drink, don't drive. Don't even putt.

Actually, for the revolver barrels, they're not even doing batches.  Each one is custom made to order.  I was told this whan I ordered a barrel assembly 2 weeks ago, just befor the price increase.  Had I known about the increase, I would have ordered a whole bunch at that time.

And you are right we are an extremely small customer base, but I still prefer roll-marking. Smile
