i have had a nice dan wesson .22 revolver for about a year now. it is a 6 inch blued model. monson 4xxx serial #. its in really nice shape and it shoots well too. i clean off the gun after every use and clean the barrel and the cylinder. but what about the internals ? i had to replace the hand spring because funny enough when i bought it , there wasn't one in it. upon taking the side cover off to replace the spring i got from eric , i noticed it was really dry in there. so what parts in there need oil or grease ? thanks alot
and if there is a tutorial already on here just point me in the right direction...thanks alot - Art

SCORPIO already sent you to the best place for info on the internals of your Model 22, this is the best tutorial I've ever seen for digging into the internals of any revolver.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Welcome to the forum. The bottom line on oil/grease is lubricate anything that moves. Everyone has their own personal preferences on types of lubricants and there are a ton of commercial products to choose from. Pick one you like and go with it. Personally, I grease some of the internals and cylinder/crane, and lightly oil the entire weapon.
