I'll be picking up a 4" Model 15 at the end of the month and am seriously considering it for my daily carry firearm. I carried a Commander size 1911 for years, but found I was getting uncomfortable carrying it. I bought a Springfield XDs 45 for EDC and it's a dream; light, slim and easy to conceal.
I'm seriously thinking about consolidating calibers, so I may sell the Springer and carry the Dan. I have a Bianchi Cyclone holster on order and have had several of them over the years. They're outstanding holsters and I like the option of it being a crossdraw as well.
However, one of the main reasons I stopped carrying the 1911 is because of the weight on my belt, even with an alloy frame and that leads me to my questions. I'm thinking about a Bianchi shoulder rig for EDC to keep the weight off my waist. I always wear a cover garment, so I'm not worried about hiding the gun, I'm more concerned with the general ease of carry.
How do you gents carry yours?

Back in the day when I carried a lot, a Bianchi shoulder rig was my favorite. It carries my 15-2VH4 great, and covers great, assuming you have on a jacket of some sort. Keep in mind I am 6'-4" so it fit "me" great. It may be different for someone not as over grown as I. The biggest issue will be there is no slippin it on and off if you move about to places you can't pack, It's like dressing and undressing. Let us know what you settle on and how it works.

I rarely carry a revolver, mostly because my holster for it is a DeSantis Cozy Partner IWB. I really don't like this holster much. One of the "someday" purchases will be a nice IWB/OWB holster that works well with a 4".
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
