My guess is less then a dozen original WMR's here and that may be a high guess. I can only remember 1 or 2 saying they had a DW magnum.

I now have a 722  LR/WMR thanks to Kieth at DW,  I now have a WMR cylinder. I installed and the 8" barrel on the pistol this morning and I am just waiting for a good day this coming week to give it a ringing out. Down side is my 2x7 scope is not here yet for some 50 & 100 yard try outs, will have to stick with 25 yards this week.

The LR cylinder was tested this past week and the gun was flawless and with 6" barrel it just pointed and shot to the target without even aiming. Just point at the target and shoot and up in the air the can or stick goes.

No, I had a worn out cylinder on my 722 and Kieth reamed it out to WMR and installed and timed a new 22LR cylinder for me.

The LR cylinder I will be using the 6" barrel and with the 22 WMR I will use my 8" barrel.

I wish they would make and sell a new revolver, I would get a 22 magnum or maybe a 327 magnum. Still want to get one of their 1911's in 10mm, but I would not be able to shoot the thing much because the sliide slamming just kills my arthretic hands.

A Model 22M was on GunBroker a while back.  I think I will email Keith and see if I can get a new cylinder for my 722.  It would be nice to have an unfluted cylinder for the 22 Mag!

I'll post back with anything I find out!

Not sure they have a unfluted cylinder offering, if they do I wish I had known. They be a lot easier to clean.

Hope to get to test out the 22 magnum today if the temp will come up to the mid 40's this afternoon again. I hope the gun will be as accurate and fun as the 22 LR cylinder was last week. The gun sure points and feels better ballanced then my S&W M48 22 WMR does.

A .22 Mag DW would definitely be on my short list of guns to get.

I'm surprised the Magnum isn't a more common gun from DW, merely going from how serious they were with the Supermag guns...you know, making guns that used shell casings stretched to the limit in all those calibers.Cool

I like the idea of boring out a standard cylinder to a Mag size, it seems like a no-brainer. I mean, it's not as if there isn't enough meat in that cylinder to take it.

And since the barrel and frame is the same size as the 32 and 38/357, the strength is definitely there.  If they do offer the mag cylinder, it looks like I'll be hunting for a DW 22 or 722.

Only problem is it is kind of expensive to have one cylinder hand fitted, but it would be worth it in my opinion if you want a quality HG instead of a POS Taurus or an over priced used S&W 48 or 648 22 WMR. I think (without looking up the bill) a new cylinder timed and installed would be about $350 to $400 depending on the guns shape. In my opinion it is worth it, but I am sure I can find lot of people here to disagree with me.

Today was suppose to be a range day (outside range) but it is 42*F and heavy overcast with about 70% hunmmidity. That kind of weather is too rough on old arthritic body, so maybe tomorrow or next day.

That's a bummer about your rain delay, hopefully today looks better for ya.

I agree that it would be cost effective to have a new cylinder done, so you end up with a decent gun in the end. I suppose there's still the option of buying a Ruger convertible, but in the end, that's not really the same as a DW.Wink

I already have the Ruger convertable in 22 and it's quite old, but shoots very good, however it isn't a DW and that's what I gotta have next.

The 22 magnum cylinder shot like dream, no problems at all. I did not have one problem with either cylinder. I did find that the cheap Winchester white box ammo had to have a second hit often as it does in my S&W M48 and the accurcy of the CCI was also dramatically better. I hate to think of how many boxes of that crap Winchester ammo I have set back. I will put a 2×7x32 scope on tomorrow and maybe if weather is good Friday I can sight it in along with my Marlin 1894C in 357 magnum that I have a new scope for.

That Marlin is also a blast to shoot, the 357 in the Marlin is about like shooting a 410 as far as recoil goes, and with 38 +P it sounds like a pop gun and had no felt recoil. Wish I had bought one years ago, but I will make up for that I am sure. Been thinking about getting a lever 22 magnum and would like a browning, but they be rather expensive at about $550 to $600 out the door. May just settle for a 983T to go with my 981T Marlin.
