Just to cleairifiy that make it the revolver not the 1911.

I'm still waiting for my permit to come through...5 mos. & counting.

But I am equally interested to see what everyone says.  There are a lot of pros to carrying a revolver & I plan to carry the 15-2 snubbie a good percentage of the time.

I'm also interested to hear what CC holsters are used.

I have carried the Model 15 4″ in a DeSantis Speed Scabbard (OWB), and just for a goof I carried the 2 1/2 in the 4″ holster. It is a little heavy, and truthfully not my first choice. 6 rounds is a little limiting, even in .357, and CCing extra ammo in a speedloader is more than I want to do. For IWB you might look at a Bianchi 3S Pistol Pocket, it allows you to adjust the cant (carry angle) and can be used strong side or crossdraw, and has a retention Thumb Snap/strap.

All that having been said, I love going to the range and working from the holster, draw, fast doubles, reholster, practice speedloader work. IMHO, the 4″ .357 is a classic fighting handgun, second only (maybe) to a Gov't Model 1911.

Model 15 in the DeSantis Speed Scabbard

Also, a Pachmayr Gripper installed on a 715

This is a really good finger groove type combat grip, better that the Hogue, but no longer made and harder (more expensive) to find. Just a hint-if you put one of these on your revolver, lightly lube the tang, or you have a terrible time getting it off again

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Great feedback & information - thanks much!

Can't argue with Shortround's support of a lighter & higher cap auto...I think it's just a personal pref. at this point.

The 3S sounds like what I'm looking for.  I'll update when I have some feedback of my own!

–> Nice Pachmayr and helpful advice, a  little surprised to see that big ol' target grip on your M15!

Back in the day, I carried my 4 inch model 15 in a bianchi shoulder rig. Works great and is comfortable. Although I am 6 foot 4 inches tall. Also it is a winter rig as you need a jacket to keep it all under wraps.  The best advice I can give is carry what you are comfortable with,  not what is comfortable to wear. Just another reason to practice a lot. Laugh

Only revolver I have carried CCW is a S&W 642 1 7/8 barrel little beauty and I currently carry a Kel-Tec PF9 for CCW, but would carry my DW 15 V4 in a holster if I was in the woods.

I have thought about having the 15 V4 Armaloyed and use for a car gun, but it would require the small grip and still it might not fit in the cubby under my seat. So I have as yet to do that and probably won't because my K-T PF9 just does fit the cubby.
