I recently saw a "Model 9" .38 special pistol pac that was in an Otter Box type of case and appeared to be in nice shape. There was no price on it yet and was wondering what the value might be and how rare it is?

I would save very rare... since starting this forum don't recall ever seeing a picture of one. If you are not interested and have the contact info of the sell I'm sure someone here would be interested.
Some of the other guys that are more up to date on current prices can give you advice on that...

I have been looking for a model 9 since beginning collecting DW's and have never come across one yet. If you don't have interest I would be thrilled to have an opportunity to check it out. Thanks for posting.

Well I guess the rarity question has been answered! I'd sure like to get a guesstimate on value now. I should be able to get another look and maybe a picture or 2 by the end of the week. I know it's tough without a picture, but what would be a ballpark price if it's indeed a solid item?

price would depend on pac, number of BA's 3 or 4 ir maybe only 2 as in the hunter pacs. is it a true 38? (only way I know to tell is try a 357 in it). if it checks out it may fall in the 22mag pc or 32 pac price range.

I think I as well as one other member are the only ones who own model 9's. Nice gun to grab if it is in good shape.

The case you pictured above was used some during the Palmer years. With it being a Palmer gun it was made between 1993 and 1995. $1700 is on the upper limit in my opinion but you are in California so not likely you would be able to have this thing shipped in if you could find it.
