Working on refurbishing a rather rusty High Standard Sentinel Mark 2 right now. Have it completely disassembled, bluing all removed, and waiting to beadblast and hot blue some time in the upcoming few weeks.
Any thoughts on some more modern sights? Front is pretty easy, I can use one of the Model 15 sights w/ the colored insert, but anything better than the integral rear sight? Probably don't need to go all the way to an adjustable like my Model 15, but something like a novak might be nice.
A better question may be how hard are these frames? I have a benchtop mill that I'm confident I can cut dovetails with in regular steel, but probably don't even want to try if the frame is really hard and I'd need carbide or better cutters.
May be/probably is more effort than it's worth, just a random thought that passed through my brain.
