After a lot of looking, looking, looking and surfing, surfing, surfing. . . . I found not 1, but 2 Dan Wesson revolvers!
First one is a Stainless Steel .445 Supermag, 8" compensated heavy barrel, it's a beauty, excellent shape, very clean. Hogue grip, original box, papers, tools. Will be looking for a 4" compensated barrel to complete the package.
Second one is a Blued .44 Mag VH Pistol Pac, with 6, 8, 10" VH barrels, original case, tools, Hogue & Wood DW grip. Gun ws used to successfully hunt wild hogs, deer, and even an elk. Very good condition, well cared for.
Funny thing was, my intention was only to purchase the SuperMag, but when I saw that he had 2 he was willing to let go, I figured what the heck! My plan is to shoot both of them, then probably sell the 44VH Pistol Pac. . . I'll let you all know if I can actually bring myself to sell one of them!
Also wanted to say thanks for this forum. . . .it went a long way in educating me to the quality of the Dan Wesson revolvers. And when you hold one, you feel and see their beauty. . . next thing you know. . . you gotsa have one!
The 445 will also fire the 44mags.. but I would have a hard time parting with any DW. I sold a mod. 15 in 357 mag several years ago and still regret it, even though I've long since replaced it with a mod. 40 in 357max. Congrats on your acquisitions.
