LB, I can sympathize with you! It seems impossible to escape the disease, it sneaks back up on you once in a while.

I keep calling them 'investments' it helps a little.

Edit; hey LB I just realized what that is! congratulations no self respecting Dan Wesson fan could pass that up! A local acquisition?

Sort of local. A out of town service tech who comes through about once a year told me he had it about two years ago but I could not talk him out of it then. Today he just drops in and had it with him, well I think we both left happy. I really did not need to spend any funds right now, but 722 mags don't drop by very often and I am confident "I could flip it for at least double for what I gave for it" at least I keep telling myself that.

Nice score LB!  I would have had to grab it too, they don't come around often.

You sure fell off the wagon in style. I'm still looking for one of those and probably will be for a while. I really like the V barrel with the 22. Veeeery nice!!

Excellent catch, rare as hen's teeth.  Let us know how accurate it is, the .22Mags are sketchy at times, they either shoot or they don't it seems.

occasion  Does that tech have a southern route?  That's the first Monson 722M I've seen.  I knew I wasn't searching in vain...  LMK when he walks through with another; I NEED one...

I am curious what kind of grip you will put on it ????

The factory grip is in good shape and I seriously am considering putting the grip up for sale seeing what they have been bringing lately. (silly money)  But I just don't know where I could find a nice grip for it then. wink So I guess I will hang on to it.

Mine does.

The .22LR's are another story.

Oh well.

I recently had to fight off the urge to buy a nearly perfect 722 6VH that was for sale locally. I've always wanted one, but it's tax time, and I wasn't sure how much I was going to have to shell out, so I passed. Good thing I did, what I need to pay is almost exactly what the gun would have cost me ($600, including an extra barrel tube and some internal spare parts), and I'm not wanting to have to do any credit card action, especially to pay income tax! Besides that, I have to come up with the $500 deductible to fix my car next month too. I can only hope maybe he will still have it in May..
