i have a dw ctg 357 mag with 4in barrel. what im needing help with is how to know if the barrel is interchangable. i dont see anything but rifling when i look down it.

Check out the thread under FAQ's on changing barrels, if your barrel looks like that it is changeable.
If it looks like this pic, it is a fixed barrel and not removable. And welcome to the Forum!

Exactly.
This is what the end on an interchangeable barrel will look like. Notice the notched barrel nut at the end...
