Welcome to DWF. That's a nice piece you picked up there. Won't take long for you to catch a serious case of

Here's the Dan Wesson "must know" info:

These two links help you know where your gun came from, and help you very easily maximize it's performance.
Welcome to DWF
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Glad you found the DWF. That is a nice looking very early 15-2. The front sight should be pinned and the hammer spur a little shorter than later guns. There are a couple of internal differences IIRC. Any 15-2 shrouds will work. The shooting world bought several hundred thousand dans after the redesign from the porkchop model 15.

Wow, thanks folks for the warm welcome to DWF and your replies to my question.
I'll follow up on the posted links and get myself some more info around DW.
I'm looking forward to pumping some lead down the lane with what i now know is a DW 15-2.
Thanks to you all and have a great day
