I have recently come into possession of a Dan Wesson 357 revolver.  From my research it appears to be a 715 model.  It's stainless and is 6 inches. It has the super heavy shroud.  It has wood groups.  It is vented.

I have to clean it up some, but I was wondering what it's value is.  It's in 95% condition.

Also... how do you remove the cylinder?  I'm wanting to deep clean it.

Finally... are those considered small or large frames?  The gun is massive and super heavy so I have a hard time calling it a small frame but I think I am seeing the 357 are called small frames and the 44 are large

Yes, 715 6VH (6" Vent Heavy)

HERE is the information you need to disassemble, clean, and tune up your 715.

Welcome to DWF

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

In DW's world, the 357s (715/14/15) are considered "small frame."  They are in the K/L frame class size-wise of S&W's.  The 44's are large frames in both worlds (N-class at least in S&W).
