I stopped in a small, very rural Pa. Gun Shop on Friday. There stock is generally about 10-15 .22s and used Deer rifles ; 4-5 inexpensive handguns.
In the case was a; DW .22LR, 6" VH , polished blue/no turn ring, Serial # 23XXX, marked "Dan Wesson Monson Mass." with a yellow front sight.
I would rate it LNIB. From the Registry it looks like it was made in 1979.
Asking price $225. (about what the local market sells/buys used)
I had a DW .22 years ago..... from about 1981-82 into the mid 90s. Just a 6 inch, blue, with a "standard barrel". It was as accurate as any .22 I've owned. I use it as part of a deal on a S&W pre 17(late 55-56). Haven't seen another one since.
Looking through the Forum I didn't see many references to blued .22s , a couple of references that they are not common. Any info and estimates as to market value are welcome.
Thanks

From your description, that price is Most blued DW 22's in good shape, usually go for $400 & upwards on the auction sites.
You are right, the 22's are not as common as the larger calibers, so that reflects on what most DW hungry buyers are willing to pay for one. A few of our members own some & I'll let them weigh in on more info.
