Guys (again not something I really am interested in) check out this high standard they claim to be made by Dan Wesson. Everything looks Wesson and the cylinder machining looks like a Palmer.
Did Dan Wesson make a lot of guns on behalf of other marques

Yep, it looks like it's had some holster time, but there's nothing wrong with a gun that's got some history to it. I bet that one can be had relatively cheaply because of the “patina”, I hope you get it.
The tie-in with Dan Wesson's is the main reason I wanted to get one, too. And holding it in your hand, you can tell it's every bit as good as a DW. Should be a great shooter for you.
