There was one I wanted because it was a 1979 my birth year, but it went over $3500. Mine also happens to be a 1979, so I am happy with it.

i want a 44mag next I am thinking about one of the supermags…

Retirement is a wonderful thing!  I have been enjoying it for four years now.  The Covid has put a damper on it but still Fantastic!

I probably won’t be able to retire until I am either dead or in my 100’s…

Start saving for retirement asap. I began saving at 30 yrs old.  Build up to 15% of your gross income minimum.  With every raise, put good part of it towards retirement investments.  Younger you are, the more what you save builds/compounds and the last 5-10 yrs you will not believe how it grows!

Yeah I had intended to start when I was 18. Then life changed those plans. I spent the last 8 years working 2 jobs just to keep my house and food on the table for my kids. I am almost 43 now and for about 3 years I have been able to start putting money back and investing some for retirement. But I am way behind. It will probably happen, but I am just trying to enjoy life with my family now as I missed so much of my kids early life.

Just do as much saving as you can as early as you can, you gotta find your own balance between living for today or only for tomorrow.  Don’t save so much you don’t live today…have some fun now cuz you may not make it to retirement for any number of reasons, BUT you also don’t want to live only for today.  Again, it’s finding that balance that works for you.  It’s different for everyone.  Unless it’s about buying a gun, then buy now 😃.

I tell my son that you are not really free until you don't owe anyone anything.

Compounding interest is great.

I’ll be getting a pension when I retire plus whatever I have in my 457b plan (state employee equivalent to a 401k but the state doesn’t contribute/match).
Hopefully I’ll be set when I retire. Though even if I retire at 61 yo, I’ll only get 52.5% of my pay. No idea what I’ll be making 30 years from now. I suspect I’ll be working past 61 but who knows.

What Snake-eye said is the truth. I can tell you from personal experience. I don't owe a penny except current property taxes and and up coming income tax. No mortgages, car loans or credit cards.

I agree with Snake-Eye and Ole Dog you need to retire owing nothing to anyone (Debt Free).

You are also free because your livelihood doesn't depend on a liberal customer base or woke employer.

They are now scheduled to be delivered today. I also got an email back from before I called them to ask. Thought it was funny because the email says yes it does include the shroud, and the number corresponds to the stainless steel model….  Which I thought was funny since it clearly says blued in the description. That means I have talked the 3 people about it and got a different answer from each one. I trust Genny though.

And here is the shorter 357 shroud beside it.

Interesting. Every barrel assembly I bought from CZ/DW had the ramp style sight. Not the partridge sights like yours.
