Went to the big Crossroads of the West show this weekend. Six fair pavilion halls plus tents outside.  Found this little (or not so little) gem in the 3rd hall.

dwas

Paid $450 cash, which IMHO is pretty reasonable for a Model 22 since they seem so hard to find.

Made in Monson, Serial number is in the 210XX range.  Anyone know what year that might roughly correlate to?

Nice find at a good price; sometimes you just HAVE to; I know....

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

dude (well NVGdude), nice catch. 1979 is pretty solid for that one.

Really nice 8VH!

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Wisdom is merely the realization of how little one knows, therefore I am wise.

Nice buy on that one - especially with that VH8 barrel on it.

It's amazingly front heavy compared to my Model 15s. (all that extra barrel steel)

I guess I'll have to install one of EKW's Patridge front sights and learn to shoot rimfire silhouette now. cool

Rear sight has a gold outline around the rear notch instead of a plane black blade.  I checked through the safe and the Monson built Model 15-2 also has a gold outline.  Never noticed that before.
