Anyone else notice all the commemoratives listed this week on Gunbroker? Crazy never seen so many. Funny how most of them have the tags taken off or they are used and been shot. Who buys a commemorative and shoots it? Where did all the cases go with all the paperwork? All are we the people also. all Monsun except one. All at auction except the one that's way over priced and been listed for weeks!

I had the one in the top photo for a number of years - it was a real masterpiece. It was finely polished and with the wood case it was a nice centerpiece. After a number of years though I finally moved it on for someone else to enjoy. I never regretted owning it and sometimes I wish I kept it.

That top photo guy is asking way too much ($3400) its been for sale for weeks. The other 3 are auction! The golden one in case hammered for $1950 a great price! My GB name is the same as here stmstan445 If i'm bidding on a gun your interested in let me know and I will tell you my highest bid I plan on so if your going to bid higher I will not run up the price. I may get in on one of their other commemorative guns!
You can send it to Fords of Crystal River. They can make it ANIB again. They are amazing. I just won a well used Kansas City Police Registered Magnum They restored to as new condition. Incredible work.
If you put tape on the cylinder and wax on the cylinder face you could probably get away with test firing it. Clean it well. Mark SAA says even testing every other chamber leaves microscopic scoring in the end of the chambers. He says that is how you tell if it has been fired only at the factory. It would only be scored in those 3 chambers. If Mark says it, it is so.

It's funny, 10~ish years ago, the prices for most of those guns were lower than what some of the clean SuperMags were going for. And I think much of that was due to what KurtB alluded to, most of the buyers at that time didn't want to buy a "paperweight" or a "conversation piece". I remember at least four times where I was torn between buying a clean commemorative or something I considered to be even cooler. So I bought the other cooler ones. I thought the commemorative guns would continue to have lackluster interest...looking back, now I wish I had snapped up one of those two-gun 2nd amendment sequentially numbered SuperMags in a wood case! Those things NEVER pop up for sale any more!
Oh well, some days my crystal ball isn't always polished well enough.

Well there all gone! I tried to get the two with matching numbers (one gold one blue) I was hoping nobody noticed. I had contacted the seller and he was going to sell them to me without tax but someone bid on the gold one (the one without case) and I tried to get it but the price went too high. The gold one in the case went to a member here I think and I got the last one (one with extra grip in pic) for $1450 a pretty good price but had to pay tax and shipping so it was $1612 the grip is worth $80 so $1530 not bad! Also noticed there were Monson ones and I believe Palmer and not sure Norwich wonder if the Monson ones are worth more?
