Why are most of the images gone from the old posts. There are many that would be fascinating for us newbies trying to catch up on info but images all gone. Why is that. Thanks

I think maybe because we had a web server change for the site to make it betterand a lot of photos were stored at loke photobucket and places like that. Some guys have gone back and repaiered some links but that can be difficult and time consuming. My 2 cents... An admin may correct me on that..

Butch - You might try sending a PM to the original poster of the photos you are interested in and they can repost or email them to you. Worth a try.

Depending on how old some of those pictures are, they may be gone because the site that originally hosted the pictures has had issues.
I don't host on DWF, I use Photo Bucket. I know that Jody would like members to use DWF to host pictures, I don't because I am on several other shooting forums that are fully compatible with off site picture hosting, and going to one place to link pictures is easy for me. Photo Bucket seems to be well established and stable it works for me, and the really important pictures for me are always on my hard drive, backed up to a USB thumb drive
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Thanks. There is lots of great stuff posted back 5, 6 even seven years ago that gives us rookies some great background info.. Hate to gbug to much so will consider asking the OP's for pics.

I've been trying to dig up some of the old threads and update any that I have access to... I lost a bunch of pics on a server a few years back--some are lost, but I recovered most.
Please let me know if there is anything I can assist with--I have a TON of pics.
