I have noticed my reloads w/Winchester Large Pistol/Magnum primers are more prone to misfires than some stock ammo I ran through it but they should detonate reliably provided all things are correct.
My Model 738P also has issues with Winchester Primers. I have to load Federals for reliable ignition.
I'd change out the mainspring, but nobody makes one (that I know of) for the 38P/738P.

Probably a wise decision, to do so. I bet she's just as sweet as sugar now.
