Check with Eric at EWK. I know he made some barrel nuts so surely he has what you need. Come to think of it I have had the barrel off mine so I must have used one of my wrenches but I don't remember which one at the moment. If I can remember tonight I will check, but don't count on my memory.

OK, I remembered. Last night I checked both my OEM and my EWK wrench and both worked on my Lil-Dan. They were however very tight so you may just need to hit your wrench with a piece of emery cloth. If that doesn't do it maybe Eric will build you a smaller wrench. Good luck.

Just out of curiousity, why would a .357 mag wrench not work? Are the barrel nuts different? I wouldn't think they would be a different size between .38 and .357, but then, what do I know?

Not to hijack but, what does the 'FWC' stand for on the frame and grips on the 738 stand for?
You read it beginning with the larger "W" letter first, "Wesson Firearms Company". That's the name used through the Palmer years.
*EDIT* Oh, looks like I'm late, you question was answered in your other thread.

OK I will try. FWC is the symbol that stands for Wesson Firearms Corp, as it was called during the Palmer years. The 738 is the actual model number, 7 for stainless 38 for the caliber, and I believe it is followed with a P (738P) for the +P designation. The problem with the 357 wrench is the shroud is smaller on the Lil-Dan and the outside diameter of the wrench will prohibit it from getting in the barrel nut slots as it may hit or rub the shroud. It is very close though, I do not know if there is a special wrench for the Lil-Dan or just a tolerance issue. Others may have better info.
*EDIT* yep I'm late also

Yes, I have made a few of the 'Lil Dan Wrenches and barrel nuts in the past, and I have a few of both left. The barrel nuts are smaller in diameter and a different thread, and the barrel wrenches are also smaller in diameter.
I think harly had a bunch of the original barrel wrenches awhile back if I remember right?
