I have a friend that wants to sell her 738P. It is a Palmer gun, and appears to be in excellent condition. Her father was a master gunsmith and I'm sure the pistol was maintained very well. Serial is S002xxx and it's stainless. Any ideas of what it's worth? I'm new to the site, so I have not figured out how to upload pics yet.
Spike, welcome to the forum!
The 738P is an pretty uncommon. I bought mine a couple of years ago for around $300. I know some others have picked theirs up for around that price up to $400. If it has box and papers I could see it going $500 on GunBroker maybe more you never know.
The 738P was only produced at the Palmer facility.
I hope you can snag it! If you end up passing on it I'm sure someone on here would be interested.

Welcome Spike.
I can't remember what I paid for my first one, but I think it was $350. It was LNIB and had the tool and the feeler gauge.
Last week I bought another which claimed to be NIB. I paid $330 for it. It turned out that it was most definitely not NIB. This gun has been fired a lot and not cleaned up very well afterward. The front of the frame arount the barrel and the top strap are black with burned on powder. The front surface of the cylinder also shows black powder burns with very balck rings around each opening. The back of the frame has head-stamp imprinting. Either this has been fired a lot or someone has been puting heavy loads through it.
I talked to the seller and he agreed to refund to me the difference between $330 and $260. He didn't want the gun back, though I offered several times.
I hope this helps.
