Just got a 445 and noticed the manual warns against shooting 44 mag.  Is this a cya legal thing. I have plenty of 44 that I have already loaded for my 44vh. Is this really a problem?

Good question, saw same thing in manual, but check what they say at the CZ web site.

Like shooting a .38 in a 357; just make certain you watch the carbon buildup in the cylinder.  Additionally, the accuracy may drop off a bit and if firing cast bullets, you may shave a bit of lead, depending on the bullet profile.

Thanks, that's what I thought, just wanted to hear it from you guys.  Next question, I have 44 mag dies.  I've read that I can back them out about a tenth of an inch or use a spacer.  Do you agree?

As long as you have the thread room to unscrew your dies far enough, 44 dies will be fine.  I've used a set of RCBS dies in a Forster co-ax for 44 special through 445SM.

My son loads all his .445 with .44 Mag dies.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Hopefully by this weekend I'll have some to try.
