Hey guys, I looked at a nice, 98% 715 4" the other day with box, papers, and extra fancy DW grip and box. You know the one with the palm swells and engraving. It was marked $499, I offered $400, he wouldnt budge, is it worth it? I think it just might be.screwy

If it's worth it to you, it's worth it!

Seriously, it's pushing the top limit of "value", but there's just so many original 715's out there, and there won't be any more. If you don't have one, probably worth doing.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

On the auction sites, the 715's usually seem to go for about $100 over a blued 15 in similar condition. So with that in mind & judging from your described condition, his price isn't too far out of line, IMO.

Maybe hit him with $475, just so you can have the satisfaction of talking him down a little.laugh

Well we talked a bit the other day and I walked away from it. I have a 15hv and a 715v pac, this is alot nicer than my 715 pac and its an hv... Whats that grip worth?

Grips are often worth $40 ~ 60, depending of how the wind blows that particular day.wink

I think at $500 with the 715VH4 in the box and a DW grip in box (especially if it's Zebrawood) is a fair price.
